Antique Serpent Connector in gold, silver and diamonds
French work, late 19th century.
An articulated serpent-form scarf runner composed of 14 karat yellow gold and silver, the coiled body set throughout with rose-cut diamonds. The head highlighted by an oval blue garnet doublet within a gold mount, with additional small red stone accents. White-gold fastening system to the reverse.
It’s a Belle Époque accessory designed to secure a scarf runner which doubles as a connector or pendant.
